Fifth Harmony flew into Virginia’s Dulles Airport on December 13th, but during their brief time there Lauren Jauregui had a run in with TSA.
Jauregui was found to be in possession of marijuana while passing through a security checkpoint. TMZ originally reported that she had been arrested, but Jauregui and Fifth Harmony’s lawyer Dina LaPolt issued a statement to Billboard that she had merely been cited.
Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported, but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance. She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities.
The group is in Virginia to perform at the VEVO FunPopFun Festival today, and it sounds like the show will go on.
Jauregui has long been an outspoken member of Fifth Harmony. Not only did she share a controversial vaccine article in late November, but shortly after Donald Trump’s election, she penned a scathing open letter criticizing his supporters.
