Travis Scott and Fortnite Team Up for New Song Debut and ‘Astronomical’ Concert Experience

New Music from the 'ASTROWORLD' rapper is on the way

April 20, 2020

ASTROWORLD is colliding with the virtual world.

Travis Scott and Fortnite have teamed up to give fans a one-of-a-kind experience and some new music. The performance, titled Astronomical, described by Epic Games as “an other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack’s creations,” will take place on Thursday April 23 at 7PM ET within the actual game.

Fortnite's waiting room will open for players 30 minutes prior to the scheduled performance. As an extra bonus, those who attend the event will receive an Astroworld Cyclone Glider and two free loading screens.

While previous Fortnite events have been one-off shows, Scott’s Astronomical is more of a virtual concert tour. It will take place over multiple days so that fans will be able to more easily attend in different time zones. Check out the concert schedule:

•   April 23rd; The Americas, 7PM ET

•   April 24th: EU & ME, 10AM ET

•   April 25th: Asia & Oceania, 12AM ET

•   April 25th: EU & ME, 11AM ET

•   April 25th: The Americas, 6PM ET

Rumors of the concert had been circulating for some time. Over the weekend, those rumors resurfaced as players spotted a stage being constructed on an island in the Sweaty Sands area of Fortnite. Scott’s show will be the second major in-game concert for Fortnite, following a virtual performance by Marshmello last February.

This will be the first music from Travis Scott since the release of Jack Boys, back in December 2019. Although there are few details surrounding the song La Flame will be debuting within the game, limited edition formats of the record will be made available on his site.
